K-pop’s solo takeover is heating up, and it’s none other than BTS’ Jungkook and BLACKPINK’s Rosé turning up the competition! These two global stars are smashing records left and right. Jungkook, BTS’ golden maknae, took the world by storm with “Seven,” his collab with Latto. Thanks to 217.1 million streams in its debut week, Jungkook’s hit redefined solo achievements for solo K-pop acts. But now, Rosé is here to shake things up!
#ROSÉ & Bruno Mars “APT.” now posts the #1 biggest streaming week for a female artist song in Billboard Global 200 chart history, garnering 224.5M in it’s debut week

This week, Rosé and her catchy bop “APT.” alongside Bruno Mars, proved itself as a streaming beast! Debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, the song opens with a jaw-dropping 224.5 million plays, leaping past Jungkook to snag the second-highest debut in Billboard Global 200 history. Only BTS’ “Butter” has done better, with 289.2 million streams.
ROSÉ and @BrunoMars’ “APT.” becomes the first song since the Billboard Global 200 began in September 2020 to have tallied at least 200 million streams worldwide in multiple weeks, according to Luminate.

So, what does this mean for K-pop’s biggest streamers? Jungkook and Latto’s “Seven” now slips to third. Meanwhile, Rosé proves her solo power isn’t a fluke—she has topped the Billboard Global 200 with BLACKPINK in the past. Now, her star power shines just as brightly solo.
Who knows what records will be broken next?
