King Charles III and Queen Camilla Parker are currently on the Australian tour against all odds. Despite the King’s health status, it’s not at its best, he has proven to everyone he can continue with his journey during this important tour.
The Monarch of the United Kingdom addressed a summit of Commonwealth nations in Samoa. He reflected on his emotions emphasizing that his meeting should steer clear of dwelling on the past and engaging a very very long endless discussions about reparations, addressing directly the demands from some former colonies for accountability regarding Britain’s involvement in the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
“None of us can change the past, but we can commit with all our hearts to learning its lessons and to finding creative ways to right inequalities that endure. As we look around the world, and consider its many deeply concerning challenges, let us choose within our commonwealth family the language of community and respect and reject the language of division.”
The king was highly praised for his speech, particularly because he was seeking how to mend all of the actions the previous monarchs had done. There’s no doubt that this Australian tour will consolidate as one of the most important for the King.
