aespa’s Karina just scored her first music show win with “UP”—all before officially debuting as a soloist! Dropping the hip-hop-flavored track, Karina’s already setting records, taking first place on Music Core on October 19, 2024. Talk about making waves even before fully diving into solo territory!

The song made its debut during aespa’s world tour, “SYNK: PARALLEL LINE,” where Karina dazzled the crowd alongside her groupmates’ solo performances. Winter, Ningning, and Giselle also served their own solos, titled “Spark,” “Bored!” and “Dopamine,” respectively. However, Karina’s “UP” is stealing the spotlight, (and the numbers on streaming platforms) making it one of the biggest solo K-pop releases this year.
