After it was confirmed that BTS‘ Suga ignored traffic laws by driving drunk, the singer was officially sentenced to a monetary punishment for his irresponsibility, despite expressing regret for the decisions he made.
On Monday, September 30, the Seoul court issued a summary fine order for the idol in the amount of 15.0 million won, approximately 11,200 US dollars, as part of the punishment for driving under the influence of alcohol on August 6th.
The summary order is a sanction measure for cases where the offense is relatively insignificant; however, if the idol feels that it is not a commensurate fine or objects to paying, he has the right to request a formal trial as long as he does so within the legal time limit of 7 days after receiving the order.
K-News reports that a summary judgement has been issued for Suga of BTS. The judgement is to pay a fine of 15M won (11,500 USD). Summary judgements are procedures used by the court for minor infractions, thereby bypassing a trial. If the party accepts, then the case closes.

Last August 6, a police officer found Suga lying on the ground drunk. After a short interrogation, the singer confessed to having driven home after a dinner, although it is true that he did not drive a car but an electric scooter. However, his blood alcohol level at that time was 0.227%, making it a traffic offense.
