BLACKPINK‘s member Jennie recently confessed that she feels connected to ‘THE IDOL‘ for its similarities with her life, saying that she felt very identified, as she went through very similar things to achieve her dreams.
The idol posed for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar but also revealed details in an exclusive interview of what it was like for her to play the character of ‘Dyanne‘, a backup dancer, in the HBO series created by Sam Levinson, where the singer debuted as an actress.
“Having the idea of this evil person coming in and trying to manipulate, I’ve been in that world my whole life“, said the singer, assuring that just like her character and the series plot, she herself had to face the same adversities and overcome them in order to achieve her dreams of success in the entertainment industry.
Jennie says she felt connected to ‘THE IDOL’ because she saw similarities within her personal life:
