Former NCT member, Taeil, is currently under scrutiny as he faces allegations of sexual crimes. On August 28, 2024, the Bangbae Police Station confirmed that an investigation involving the K-pop idol was initiated. While most details remain under wraps, the authorities have clarified that the accusations do not involve minors of the same gender as Taeil.

The former NCT member has been accused of having connections with sexual crimes, but the possibility of minors of the same sex being part of it was discarded. Moreover, Lee In Chun, Director of the Youth and Women’s Division at the Bangbae Police Station confirmed that she could only revise information uploaded to the server in the upcoming days. For that reason, details about the case will probably be revealed during the weekend.

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment, Taeil’s former label, quickly released a statement. The agency confirmed the accusations against the idol. Due to the severity of the case, it was mutually agreed with Taeil that he could no longer be a part of NCT. After this, the departure of the idol from the mega-group was officially confirmed. As of now, SM Entertainment and other NCT members have unfollowed Taeil on social media.
