Taylor Swift’s Austria shows have been canceled after the confirmation of terrorist attack threats. The “Blank Space” singer was set to perform in Vienna on August 8, 9, and 10. However, to preserve safety, Austrian authorities have decided to cancel all three dates and fans will be refunded promptly.
The news was revealed yesterday Wednesday, August 7, after Barracuda Music (the concert promoters for the Vienna shows) took to social media to announce the cancelation of “The Eras Tour” in the city. The statement was later reposted by Taylor Nation, confirming the cancelation:

“With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety. All tickets will be automatically refunded within the next 10 business days.”
It has been unveiled that the suspects are a 19-year-old Austrian citizen detained on Wednesday morning, and another suspect arrested the same day in the afternoon. It was reported that the suspects were open supporters of the Islamic State online and were planning a terrorist attack focused on Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.”
This marks the second time Taylor Swift has canceled shows from her extensive world tour history. In 2014, the “Shake it Off” singer canceled her Bangkok gig in Thailand.
