King Charles III was victim to pranksters who used a ‘recording device’ to expose his nocturnal habits

Ingrid Seward, royal biographer and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, claimed during a literary luncheon in London that King Charles III was the victim of pranksters who used a ‘recording device’ while he slept with the intention of exposing his nocturnal habits.

“Charles’s bed was by an open window, so the boys above dangled over the window a recording device and recorded him snoring away. Charles had a terrible problem with his snoring—and I think he still does“, the biographer revealed, claiming that the current monarch was the victim of mocking.

This happened during his stay at Gordonstoun School, long before the royal became king, where the young heir spent five years and apparently did not have such a good time, as he was unhappy with the institution and was mocked for his noisy snoring when he slept.

The letters sent by King Charles III at that time were published some time later and contained messages such as “It’s such hell here, especially at night. I don’t get any sleep practically at all nowadays“, referring perhaps to the pranks that were played on him, but he also expressed his displeasure by saying; “The people in my dormitory are foul. Goodness, they are horrid“.
