Princess Diana wanted the world to witness the love letters she received from King Charles during their happier times, a royal biographer reveals. Despite their tumultuous marriage ending in divorce in 1996, Princess Diana cherished the heartfelt letters Charles sent her during the early days of their relationship. About this, royal biographer, Ingrid Seward shared at an Oldie magazine lunch:

“Diana told me very shortly before she died that she wished people could see the love letters that she had from Charles. She really wanted people to know that she loved Charles and he loved her. And I always remembered that. And she wanted the boys [Prince William and Prince Harry] to know that.”
Allegedly, the mother of two expressed these feelings about the letters weeks before her passing in 1997. The Princess died in a car accident in Paris with Dodi Fayed, who she was dating at the time. Still, she wished for the early days of her romance with Charles “to be properly reflected.”
