The couple announced their exciting pregnancy news in the spring, and Hailey opened up about it in a revealing W Magazine cover story. Initially, she tried to keep her pregnancy under wraps but found it too difficult:
“felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
She then opened up about online scrutiny, saying that dealing with that kind of stuff has never been easy and that it will probably never be.
“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one. ‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy. It doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”
However, amid the scrutiny, the entrepreneur has been cherishing alone time with her husband, Justin Bieber. She first recalled that her first pregnancy months were super “emotional,” and thought about the love she had for their baby. Now, she’s in a more relaxed position, having some downtime with the singer.
