The King gave a speech, in the company of their daughters and wife, and formally received with honors the Spanish men’s national soccer team that, thanks to their victory against England, were once again champions of the European tournament, this being the fourth time they have won the trophy.

In gratitude for their support throughout the tournament and the warm welcome from the King and Queen, the Spanish players gift him a shirt with the number 4 in honor of the number of times they have won the European Championship, which was signed by each of the members of the national team who participated in the sporting competition.

King Felipe VI and his youngest daughter were present in Germany to watch the soccer match live. The monarch also personally participated in the award ceremony of the tournament, and it was possible to notice the good relationship between him and the players of his national team, especially with the captain of the team, Morata, with whom he had a brief chat during the award ceremony.
