The Royal Family knows how to pay tribute to other members of the family. Queen Camilla Parker has been referencing and wearing some of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry as a sign of respect over the last couple of months since the Queen’s death in September 2022.
The current monarch of the United Kingdom often honors the memory of Queen Elizabeth II by wearing brooches, tiaras, and more belonging originally to the Queen. She wore the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara during a dinner and reception at Mansion House in London on October 18, 2023.
The tiara dates to the 1890s and was eventually gifted to the then-Princess Elizabeth. She wore it a couple of times before her coronation in 1953. However, she continued wearing the tiara throughout her reign despite having the royal crown.
Queen Camilla Parker also wore the Sapphire tiara on November 22, the elegant piece features diamonds and sapphires in an ornate design. The accessory was the most notorious piece of the Queen’s outfit during a state banquet for South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa. The tiara was gifted by King George VI to her daughter, Queen Elizabeth during her Princess reign.
