Kate Middleton was one of the most-talked-about names of the Royal Family during the Trooping the Colour event, particularly because this was her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis. The Princess of Wales was also brought to the spotlight because of her uncanny resemblance to the late Princess Diana.
The Princess opted for a bespoke black and white Jenny Packham dress. The pencil-cut dress featured black piping around the neck, an oversized bow detail, and a black waistband. On top of that she stylised herself with the “Calvolfiore Pearl Stud Earrings” from Cassandra Goad retailed for over $5000.
Kate’s outfit was a clear reference and tribute to the late Princess Diana. The people’s princess was seen with a similar outfit in 1985 when she visited the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. The royal followers stated they almost looked identical and this was a clear move from the Princess of Wales who wanted to shake the news all around the world with this beautiful tribute.
