A few days ago, the renowned children’s series, which made Queen Elizabeth II jump over mud puddles, celebrated its 20th anniversary. It is the worldwide famous Peppa Pig that accompanied a generation of boys and girls while growing up with iconic moments like the monarch’s appearance.
The first broadcast of this British show was in 2004, and with the passage of time, the incredible stories they have shared with the public have made a strong bond with many children around the world who love to learn and laugh at the occurrences of this little pig, family, and friends throughout its 7 seasons until now.
In these 20 years of releases, the project has had many iconic moments on screen, such as the moment when the late Queen Elizabeth II jumps over mud puddles with Peppa, but this did not happen once, as it did during the episode ‘Peppa Meets the Queen‘ in which she goes on a school trip to London.
However, after the monarch’s death, she appeared in a Peppa Pig videogame and was asked by the little pig, “Come on Your Majesty, jump in the puddles” to which she said, “That’s the spirit, everybody jump. Splash, splash, splash“. The scene ends with a photo and the words “H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, 1926–2022, In Memorium“.
