Selena Gomez has recently shared some major personal revelations, all having to do with her life choices prior to being in a relationship. It all went down during an interview with Time, in which the “Only Murders in the Building” star talked about what her life could’ve been before her romantic connection with music producer Benny Blanco. The singer and actress had envisioned a different future for herself—one that included adopting children by the age of 35.
Reflecting on her past, Selena Gomez confessed how she had embraced single life after not having a relationship for five years, which probably made her come to terms with eternal solitude. This acceptance led to a clear plan: if she hadn’t met her other half by 35, she would adopt.
“A lot of people are afraid of being alone, and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was, I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.”
But boom! Life had other plans for the “Same Old Love” hitmaker and she met music producer and songwriter Benny Blanco. The two lovebirds met during a casual encounter at a birthday party, changing plans for both of their loves. Their relationship was made public in December 2023, after Selena commented on several Instagram posts confirming their romance.
While Selena’s initial plans suffered a major switch-up is evident that both of them are open to building a family together, as the producer recently confessed on The Howard Stern Show. Is this the start of a new chapter in their lives?
