Queen Letizia of Spain, the ever-epitome of grace and style, recently attended the bicentennial celebration of the National Spanish Police at the Royal Palace in Madrid. While cameras were flashing and the grandeur of the event was taking place, a new character in Queen Letizia’s royal spotlight started to shine.

So what’s the buzz all about? Well, it’s the new person assuming the prestigious role of the Queen’s Secretariat, MarÃa Dolores Ocaña Madrid. This marks the first time a woman holds this position in the Spanish royal family, as it was always a job done by men. She is currently taking the place of José Manuel Zuleta, the Duke of Abrantes, who had been in this role for 16 years.
But make no mistake, MarÃa Dolores is not new to making moves in Spain. Actually, her impressive career includes serving as the State Attorney at the Ministry of Education before stepping into her new role on April 30th. Now, she’s making history and giving the Spanish royal family a fresh new start.
