BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s attendance at the Met Gala in 2023 became the talk of the town and an unforgettable moment for the Kpop industry. The idol wore a Channel’s white and black mini dress. However, the spotlight was almost stolen by a model who appeared next to her, considered by the Netizens as a handsome man, which was enough for the Gala to fire him.
The Italian model, Eugenio Casnighi was highly popular for being part of the Met Gala in the last two years. He is also known for his work as a model and host, not to mention he was one of the faces who accompanied Kylie Jenner during a previous MET Gala. However, he revealed on social media that he had been fired last minute from the Met Gala, which took place this year on May 6 at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York.
Casnighi explained that he was initially hired for being good-looking. However, he was later fired for that same reason, citing the fact that he “looked too attractive,” which didn’t make any sense for him. The Met Gala told Eugenio Casnighi that he was fired because he made it “all about himself during the last gala.” The model also explained he couldn’t unveil many details before because he was under a NDA but he wanted to tell his version of the story.
Eugenio, the model who appeared in the background at last year’s #MetGala, reveals he was fired after going viral, despite being confirmed to work at this Monday’s event:
