Lionel Richie, a close friend of King Charles III, has recently shared a positive update on the monarch’s health condition. This insight comes after the King resumed some of his royal duties and made a couple of public outings last week, all amid his ongoing cancer treatment.
While attending the King’s Trust Gala in New York City, the R&B and Soul singer revealed that Charles is “doing fantastic” but emphasized he “needs to sit still,” as he continues to be under treatment to fully recover. Also, he expressed joy at the fact that King Charles was back to his duties. This is what the artist said:
“Happily I can say, he is doing fantastic. Again, I understand, he needs to sit still, you know what I’m saying. The most important part is he is doing well. He’s back to his duties and so therefore, I wouldn’t want the first thing for him to do is come over — let’s not prove anything here.”
As King Charles continues his treatment, he’s gradually getting back to his royal schedule. For example, he recently attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show for the first time in 45 years.
