The wounds caused to Prince William and Kate Middleton by the Duke of Sussex are still not healed, as a close friend of the couple told The Daily Beast that they will not meet Harry on his visit to the UK next May, despite the King’s wishes to reconcile and return to being a united family in times of crisis.
Harry further fractured his relationship with Kate when he accused her in his memoir ‘Spare‘ of being racist towards his son before he was born. However, after learning of her cancer diagnosis, he shared his concern with the Princess of Wales and extended his best wishes.
At first, it was thought that they would leave the problems in the past and start a reconciliation; however, a close friend revealed to the British media, “William and Catherine felt completely betrayed by Harry’s memoir. They don’t speak to Harry and Meghan, and they are certainly not about to start when Catherine is at her most vulnerable“.
This confirms that Harry’s visit to the UK will only be for the Invictus Games ceremony, and he will not have the opportunity to speak to his brother or sister-in-law, as Prince William prefers not to expose his wife to stressful situations while she is undergoing cancer treatment.
