The ‘People’s Princess‘ inspired many haute couture brands to create garments and accessories worthy of admiration; each one has its own origin or purpose, like the Dior bag created especially for Princess Diana, which is still a fashion trend to the point of being one of the best sellers of the brand.
Its origin dates back to 1995, when the princess embarked on a trip to France after announcing her divorce with the then Prince of Wales, Charles III. Diana was received by the first lady of the French country, Bernadette Chirac, who had the idea of giving her a special gift, a Dior bag that had not yet been released.
At the end of her trip, Diana, who proved to be passionate about fashion, was photographed getting off the plane with her Dior bag. Because it offered elegance, the creative director of the Italian brand immediately added some charms that say the name of the company and launched them to the market.
Thanks to the influence of the princess, the bag that initially was named ‘Chouchou‘ was a success in sales. For that reason, and in honor of Diana, the accessory was officially named ‘Lady Dior‘, which is now one of the most sought-after items worldwide by fashion experts and fashionistas.
