During a conversation on Justin Laboy’s ‘The Download’ podcast, Kanye West claims that Drake‘s raps against Kendrick Lamar “means nothing” and accuses him of “fixing the numbers“, claiming that his success is fake and if he didn’t manipulate the plays, he wouldn’t be the most played rapper on Spotify in history.
“Every bar that Drake said means nothing anymore. Drop and give me—I ain’t nobody going to drop and do shit. Your raps don’t mean sh*t, n-gga“, said Kanye, later saying, “You take Drake and Lucian out, that alters everything. That’s such a control thing they have, the algorithm, the way they work together to fix the numbers“.

The American rapper took advantage of his space in the remix of ‘Like That‘ to send some subliminal messages to Drake, making reference to the relationship between the Canadian and Universal: “Where’s Lucian? Serve your master, n-gga / You caught a little bag for your masters, didn’t ya? / Lifetime deal, I feel bad for n-ggas“.
The collaboration ‘Like That Remix’ was recently released and features Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign, Future & Metro Boomin. This is part of the lyrical war against Drake, who also released tracks like ‘Push Ups‘ or ‘Taylor Made Freestyle‘, where he exhibits an entire musical genre that is against him.
(Ye) Kanye West’s ‘Like That’ remix verse for Metro Boomin and Future shows that his beef with Drake is far from over.
