The fandom of MAMAMOO decided to take a drastic decision after failing to agree with an attitude of RBW Entertainment agency. On the 28th of this month the K-Pop group will play their first online show in two years , but no one plans to attend… Find out why!
Photos of the event, titled “WAW”, were released this Tuesday, August 17th, shortly after RBW Entertainment announced that it will start posting MAMAMOO content on its own YouTube channel.
According to the website Koreaboo, fans believe the decision will harm the group, mainly because the difference between channel subscribers is stark. While the agency totals 111,000, MAMAMOO has 6 million .
Because of this, the fandom came together through social networks and intend to boycott the online show, pointing out the merger of channels on YouTube, as well as the lack of publicity for the event, as their motivations.
“Unlike the previous concerts, no teaser material was released to prepare the concert online. No videos were released even a day before ticket sales began. Of course, the artist will be negatively affected when the YouTube merger takes place .
However, the agency continues to follow the plan to the letter and is pushing back promotions for the concert” says the note released by fans.

After rumors of disband, the artists renewed their contracts with the RWB, except for Whee In. The artist left the agency after the comeback with the mini-album “WAW” and raised speculation about the group’s future.
