Prince William and King Charles III’s father-son relationship has improved over the years since the Prince became the King’s right hand. William even became the “face” of the royal family during the difficult times the Royal Family has been going through with Charles and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.
After William became the heir to the British throne, he also became the Duke of Cornwall. The Prince’s responsibility for overseeing the vast Duchy of Cornwall state, which was run by King Charles III for over 50 years, because the King always had a great interest in the success of the state.
The ITV documentary titled, “Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall” showed one of the most vulnerable times for King Charles III on the small screen. The King revealed how a comment by Prince William about the Cornwall state simply reduced him to tears. William explained he was aware he would inherit the Duchy one day and he was already thinking how important it was for the family, so he wanted to do great things with it.
“When I saw it, I couldn’t believe it. I was deeply touched and moved by what he said. Frankly, it reduced me to tears. It did, really. Because, I suddenly thought, well, just hearing that from him has made the last 50 years worthwhile.”
King Charles III is completely sure that Prince William is going to do an exceptional job with the Cornwall estate. William already announced plans to build homes on Duchy of Cornwall land to tackle homelessness in the South West of England, which made King Charles III proud.
