Princess Anne became a fundamental pillar inside the British monarchy after King Charles III and Kate Middleton disappeared from the surface of the earth while they recovered from their respective medical procedures. The princess garnered all the attention last week because she could become the entry for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the United Kingdom.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are the opposite of “peacemakers” inside the royal family after they constantly attacked them during the last couple of years. Then, it was almost supposed they couldn’t get along. But now, a beacon of hope appeared after King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis.
Several media outlets have stated Princess Anne would be the one to seal the royal rift once and for all with a simple trip to the United States, where Meghan and Harry relocated after stepping down from their royal duties back in 2020 to live a calmer life.
However, Gareth Russell, a royal commentator had a word on the matter, explaining it would be “unnecessary” for Anne to travel to the United States to mend the Duke and Duchess’ mistakes.
“I don’t think there’s any need really, for a member of the Royal Family to go to America to talk to Prince Harry.”
At the end of the day, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s estranged relationship with the royal family might be over. Although King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis and the “reunifying” effect couldn’t be able to sail the cracks in their history, Princess Anne might just be enough for the rift in the British monarchy to end. Will she be able to do that?
