This year is projected to be one of the most emotionally difficult for the royal family, and mainly for King Charles III, as he was diagnosed with cancer while the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton had a serious abdominal surgery, in addition to the tense relationship between the monarch and his son Prince Harry.

As if that were not enough, on Wednesday, March 6th, at the age of 78, Ian Farquhar died, which would have devastated the current king of the United Kingdom by the death of a great friend, as he had a great relationship with the deceased since in his lifetime he held the position of squire to Queen Elizabeth II.

The link between King Charles III and Ian Farquhar became closer in 2000, despite the fact that they had known each other for a long time. Such was their good friendship that neither the arrival of Camilla Parker in his life nor William’s romance with the squire’s daughter, Rose Farquhar, changed their relationship.

It was the ex-husband of Camilla Parker Bowles, Andrew Parker Bowles, who said that everyone in the royal family is ‘very sad‘ because of all the distressing situations they have had to live in recent months, especially the death of a friend as close to the royal family as was the great Ian Farquhar.
