In recent hours, King Charles III moved the British people by saying in his first in-person meeting after his cancer diagnosis that he has been ‘reduced to tears’, due to the great support he has received in the last few weeks.

The current monarch of the U.K. met in a face-to-face audience with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesday, 21st, at Buckingham Palace, which is the first one since the King announced his cancer diagnosis and took some time to rest due to the treatment.

Due to this, the Prime Minister and the King had to make their weekly traditional meeting via phone call. But for this week, they shared new photos together and a video of their meeting, where Sunak told Charles III, “We’re all behind you. The country’s behind you“.

To which King Charles III said that he has received “so many wonderful messages and cards. It’s reduced me to tears most of the time“, revealing the great support he has earned from the British people during these difficult times for his health and family.
