Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become the talk of the town in Awards because they feuded with the royal family through Harry’s memoir, “Spare.” In addition to the groundbreaking Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” the royal couple also released “Heart of Invictus” recently.
The docuseries, tells the story of six injured individuals on their healing journeys as they competed in the 2022 Invictus Games. The series was critically acclaimed, to the point the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could make a public appearance at the 2024 BAFTA Awards. However, they snubbed it.
It was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to skip this year’s BAFTA Award Ceremony to prevent an increase in their feud with the royal family. Particularly, because Prince William has been president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2010.
A royal source had a convo with the Sun last year, explaining that inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would’ve added to their feud. “For them to roll out the red carpet to Harry and his wife would be like setting off a nuclear bomb.” It seems Prince Harry wants to keep the peace inside the family for now, without interfering in their activities anymore.
