The year did not start in the best way for the royal palace of Buckingham, since health has been a rather problematic issue as you might be observing. It all started when it was announced that the beautiful Princess Kate Middleton would have an abdominal surgery, of which not many details have been given other than that she is already in recovery. Then it became known that the King would have an intervention on his prostate and then that Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with cancer.
Despite the fact that the medical interventions went well, another news came that made the world think about the future of the crown, and that is that King Charles III is suffering from cancer, making everyone alert, including his youngest son Prince Harry.
Recently the queen spoke to Ben Abbott, a critical care paramedic, where she gave a little insight into the king’s health.
“Well he’s doing extremely well under the circumstances, he’s very touched by all the letters and the messages the public have been sending from everywhere – that’s very cheering.”
The nature of the cancer is unknown; however, it was found during his most recent treatment for an enlarged prostate and is not prostate cancer. According to the Palace, the King Charles III started “regular treatments” on Monday and would abstain from public obligations during that time. The King arrived back in London on Monday morning from Sandringham in Norfolk, and according to the palace, he has begun outpatient therapy.
King Charles III will continue to carry out his constitutional duties as head of state, including paperwork and private meetings, even if he will be suspending his public appearances.
