In a copyright dispute, Universal Music Group has threatened to pull its music from TikTok. In a statement released on Tuesday, Universal stated that its licensing agreement with TikTok expires on Wednesday. In its “contract renewal talks with TikTok,” Universal has made “adequate compensation” for its artists and songwriters a priority. TikTok users can embed music in their videos.
