One of the most controversial series that exist are those that talk about royalty, and The Crown has come to change the perspective we had of the people of great power in the UK. The series has been very controversial, as several times it takes into account great dramas that the royals have lived, including when Princess Diana died.
Kate Middleton’s family is reportedly taking legal action against the Netflix series “The Crown.”
The Duchess of Cambridge’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, has lashed out at the depiction in an edition of the Daily Mail podcast The Crown: Fact or Fiction. He stated that the series had become “very difficult to watch,” so he “stopped” watching it.
“It started to get ridiculous and fanciful,” he began. “Carole is not this evil, manipulative person who manages to force her way into the royal family,” Goldsmith continued. “I don’t understand why Carole hasn’t taken legal action because it’s literally that bad.” “Kate did brilliantly well to get into St Andrews,” he said of his niece. “She’s an amazing girl, but that wasn’t noticed.” “It was all to do with ‘Kate you’ve got to be doing these things, you’ve got to be showing your legs,’ and it’s just not my family. It’s just not Carole’s way.” “I think the family is too classy to see things like that,” she said.
Let’s remember that this is not the first time we see that there are problems, and that the series takes into account very significant things that could cause great controversy that could cause problems, since more and more information is coming out.
What are your thoughts on this, and do you think legal action is wise for British reality?
