BTS’ Jungkook had such an amazing journey with his highly-acclaimed debut album, “GOLDEN.” The album had a great rollout, which is still paying off the idol’s efforts despite him being enlisted in the military. Regardless of Jungkook not being able to promote his music, “GOLDEN,” the album, is just doing fine in the UK’s Official Charts.
On January 5, the Official Charts announced that Jungkook’s “GOLDEN” and his title track, “Standing Next to You” re-entered its Official Album Charts and Official Singles Chart respectively. This serves as an extension of Jungkook’s record in the United Kingdom with the K-pop album with most weeks on the chart.
“Standing Next to You” re-entered the chart at No. 56, making its eighth non-consecutive week on the chart. On the other hand, “GOLDEN” re-entered the chart at No. 91. This amazing feat is largely attributed to Jungkook’s fans, better known as ARMY, because they were celebrating the idol’s enlistment to the military earlier in December 2023.
BTS’ Jungkook keeps proving his success is beyond this world. The idol’s legacy is increasing and surely, he is going to be recognized as one of the biggest artists in the world in the next couple of generations. You can watch the “Standing Next to You” music video to celebrate:
