The Asian K-Pop group have invited the world to dance alongside their top YouTube Global Top Songs hit and Billboard Hot # 1 hit “Permission to Dance” on Shorts, the newly expanded video experience. in YouTube short format, for anyone who wants to create a contagious short just by using their mobile phone.
The video shows the band performing three international sign language gestures that mean “Joy,” “Dance,” and “Peace,” which BTS is encouraging participants to recreate in their own style for the challenge. The dance steps can be learned by watching the video.
How to participate in the challenge? Creating a Short for the “Permission to Dance” Challenge only takes 15 seconds. All that is needed to participate in this global challenge is a smartphone and YouTube Shorts camera, right on the YouTube mobile app. With the help of the Shorts creation tools, anyone can easily recreate the three “Permission to Dance” movements in her own style. Here you will find the simple steps to follow within the platform application:
Press the “(+) creation icon” in the bottom navigation bar and select “Create a Short”.
Press the “Add Music” button and select BTS “Permission to Dance”. The music will be 15 seconds long without the need to do anything else.
Press the “Capture” button (red circle) to record your Shorts clip.
Press “Done” followed by “Next” to add the details of the video. Make sure to include the hashtags #PermissiontoDance and #Shorts.
