BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars released one of the most iconic and popular songs of 2024. The catchy lyrics of “APT” were everywhere, and that’s why the idol earned so many accolades with it.
On April 20 at around 8 p.m. KST, the music video for “APT” officially surpassed 1.5 billion views on YouTube, taking it approximately six months, two days, and seven hours. The record is still in the race to become the fastest music video to reach a milestone, but there is still a long road to go.
“APT” once again extended its record as the fastest music video by an Asian artist to surpass 1.5 billion views on YouTube. Now, “APT” is tied with J Balvin and Willy William’s “Mi Gente” as the third fastest music video of all time to reach the 1.5 billion mark at 184.3 days, following Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” featuring Daddy Yankee and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.” Congratulations to the idol!
