So BLACKPINK no longer rules YouTube? Apparently, KimPro does now. Their YouTube channel just hit a historic 100 million subscribers, leaving BLACKPINK and their 96.4 million subscribers behind. As of April 17, KimPro became the first-ever South Korean channel to cross the 100M milestone, ranking 14th globally.

The channel, led by Kim Dong Jun and cousin Yu Baek Hap, is filled with mukbangs (live streams of someone eating food), skits, and relatable content. This combination of sibling comedy and viral humor has won more members over time. Since March 2023, they’ve added Yu Ha Young and Jeong Hee Rim to form the OK Team, and viewers seem to be loving it, as this move paid off big time.
“Thanks to the members who have been running with us and to all of our subscribers who have always watched our videos and cheered us on, we were able to reach this dreamlike moment. I sincerely thank you.”
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s still slaying the music game, but this shift shows a new kind of star power. The group might still be running the sales and shows department, but it looks like KimPro just claimed the subscriber throne.
