Taylor Swift’s movie director is ready to take on the iconic 1992 romantic thriller The Bodyguard with a modern makeover. Guess the name? None other than Sam Wrench, the mastermind behind the “Eras Tour” concert film. That’s right — the man who made Swifties cry in theaters is now doing one of the most famous films and soundtracks ever.
Wrench brings a resume packed with A-listers: he’s directed for BTS, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Lizzo, and earned an Emmy plus a Grammy nomination along the way. Now he’s teaming up with Warner Bros. to revive the Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner classic. While the new cast and most details remain under wraps, the public will, for sure, have expectations.
With Jonathan Abrams penning the script and the bar set astronomically high by Whitney’s original “I Will Always Love You,” the pressure is on! But let’s trust the man who turned a concert into a cinema blockbuster with the Bodyguard glow-up!
