Robert Pattinson became a sensation in South Korea after appearing in the Running Man show while he was promoting “Mickey 17.” Ultimately, the actor’s popularity in the region was enough for the movie to break some major records at the Korean Box Office.
On April 7, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 5:28 p.m. KST that “Mickey 17” had recorded a total of 3,000,006 moviegoers, making it the first film released in 2025 to reach the 3 million mark at the Korean box office.
This is a major record for director Bong Joon Ho and Robert Pattinson. “Mickey 17” is a science fiction black comedy film with the starring role being an “expendable,” a disposable clone worker. Congratulations to the film for reaching such an unprecedented success.
