BTS’ Jungkook’s solo song debut, “Seven,” became one of the biggest topics in 2023 because of the versatility of the idol in the Kpop scene. Ultimately, the single reached critical acclaim and commercial success in major music markets, including the American and British ones.
On March 31, the U.S. culture magazine Complex released its top 15 list of standout collaborations between Korean artists and international rappers. Guess what? Jungkook and Latto topped the charts like no other. The magazine commented on why they chose the song as the forefront of the list:
“It’s hard to imagine a more effective K-pop and rap collaboration than this. Jungkook delivered a witty portrayal of the desire to be with his lover every day with his powerful vocals, while Latto showcased energetic and catchy lyrics.”
“Seven” debuted straight at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 15 weeks, proving its massive popularity. In addition, the song is still strong on the Spotify global charts, which shows the longevity of the rising career of the idol.
