There were several rumors that King Charles III interrupted his cancer treatment last month. However, Buckingham Palace remained silent over the increasing conversation over the King’s health. Ultimately, it was reported that the Monarch of the United Kingdom was admitted to the hospital.
USA TODAY reported that King Charles III spent a short time under observation in the hospital after experiencing side effects from treatment for cancer. However, it wasn’t confirmed whether the King interrupted his cancer treatment.
Buckingham Palace reported that the King’s engagements over the weekend would be rescheduled while he rests at Clarence House. The king was set to receive credentials from the ambassadors of three different nations Thursday afternoon, and on Friday, he was to attend four public engagements in Birmingham, England, on March 28. USA TODAY also obtained a short statement by a palace spokesperson over the situation:
“The king is greatly disappointed to be missing them on this occasion. He very much hopes that they can be rescheduled in due course and offers his deepest apologies to all those who had worked so hard to make the planned visit possible.”
