BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Jisoo, along with several other idols, have extended their support to wildfire recovery efforts in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. The generous donations have reached those who are currently in need after the disaster.
On March 27, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association reported that Jennie donated 68,138 USD and Jisoo contributed 102,208 USD. The two idols released solo statements to show their condolences to all the victims.
“I was heartbroken to hear that so many people are struggling due to the sudden wildfire. Though it may be a small gesture, I wanted to offer some comfort and support. Sincerely hope everyone can safely return to their daily lives and welcome a warm spring.”
Jisoo shared, “I hope this donation can provide some strength to the firefighters working tirelessly and to all those affected by the wildfires. It is heartbreaking to see beautiful forests turn to ashes in an instant, and I sincerely wish for the restoration of the damaged lands.”
