ASTRO’s Moonbin left a profound grief in South Korean music after his passing. April marks the second anniversary of the idol’s death, and it’s going to be honored with a special song by close friends of the late Moonbin.

On March 28, JTBC reported that closest friends, including his Cha Eun Woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha, as well as his younger sister Billie’s Moon Sua, SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and DK, as well as VIVIZ will play tribute to the idol in a special song scheduled to be released on April 19.

On top of that, Dispatch reported that MONSTA X’s I.M, Kihyun, and Minhyuk; SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Mingyu; Ungjae, Choi Yoo Jung, and Kim Do Yeon; SF9’s Chani; and Stray Kids’ Bang Chan will also be participating in this heartfelt project. ASTRO’s agency, Fantagio, wanted to share updates with the fans:

Moonbin’s friends will be coming together to release a new song in April. This song will be structured as a letter from his friends to Moonbin, and we will share more details about the participating artists and the song soon. We hope that this song will serve as both comfort and a heartfelt gift to the fans who continue to remember and love Moonbin.”
