The wildfires in North Gyeongsang, South Gyeongsang, and Ulsan have shocked the entire nation because of the huge disasters to the area and the families affected. That’s why several idols are joining forces to donate to support the victims and the wildfire, and IU, becomes the woman of the hour.
On March 26, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that IU donated a total of 136,248 USD to support the victims and the firefighters aiding the disaster. IU’s donations will be used for wildfire relief efforts and to improve the working conditions and public perception of firefighters. The idol wanted to share a sweet message after her donation:
“I hope this can provide even a small amount of help to those affected, and I extend my deepest condolences to the victims. I sincerely wish for the wildfire to be contained as soon as possible without further casualties. I deeply appreciate the dedication of the firefighters working tirelessly to control the fire.”
