Prince Harry’s U.S. visa records are about to be partially unsealed on March 18, 2025, following a court ruling that might reveal whether he was honest about past drug use. The situation started when the conservative Heritage Foundation sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), arguing that the public had a right to know if Harry received special treatment for his U.S. Visa application.
Judge Carl Nichols approved the release of some documents but agreed with DHS that certain details should remain private. The biggest question? Whether Prince Harry admitted to past drug use when filling out his immigration paperwork. In his memoir Spare and Netflix series, he openly talked about experimenting with cannabis, cocaine, and psychedelics, leading many to wonder if he was truthful on his official documents.
Initially, Nichols ruled that Harry’s privacy was more important than public interest, but he later reconsidered things. Now, redacted versions of the Visa files will be released by March 18, ,2025. While the documents may not tell the full story, they could add fuel to the ongoing debate over whether the Duke of Sussex got a free pass.
