BLACKPINK’s Jennie earns the biggest debut by a Kpop soloist in 2025 so far

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has showcased all of her versatility in her new album, “Ruby.” The 15-track album is a unique experience for the fans, better known as BLINKS, to discover Jennie’s journey during the last couple of years.

Jennie’s first studio album, “Ruby,” was released on March 7 and met both critical acclaim and commercial success. The Hanteo Charts reported that the album debuted with 386,000 copies, being the second-biggest debut in the chart behind Jisoo’s “ME.”

In addition, the giant streaming platform Spotify has also reported the numbers BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s album did during its first day. “Ruby” debuted with 22.9 million streams, becoming the biggest debut by a Kpop soloist in 2025 so far. Congratulations to Jennie, who is in a tight race to earn the most streams within a week!
