NJZ’s Hanni fires back at HYBE’s ADOR over drama with ILLIT

Tensions between NJZ (formerly NewJeans) and ADOR hit a boiling point during the first hearing of their legal battle on March 7, 2025. Following the session at the Seoul Central District Court, NJZ’s Hanni took to Instagram to express her frustration, accusing ADOR of twisting what really happened for their own benefit.

The controversy dates back from the moment ILLIT was instructed to ignore Hanni, allegedly due to their manager’s orders. ADOR presented footage in court, showing ILLIT members bowing to Hanni, seemingly disproving her previous claim. However, Hanni clarified that she never blamed the ILLIT members, but rather their management. She called out ADOR and HYBE on Instagram Stories, saying:

“How can you take one part of a conversation and shift the meaning of it to benefit your point of view when I was the one that wrote that message?”

The idol then signed off her Instagram Story, firmly telling HYBE’s ADOR “Please stop bothering me.” She also warned the company that she would not “stay silent” if their “false narratives” continued. As NJZ fights for their independence, the conflict between the quintet and their former label is only getting more dramatic.
