K-Netizens accuse BTS’ Jimin of Spotify fraud

The Kpop industry has earned a big role in the music scene because of the amazing performances and catchy beats of the idol’s songs. One of the most popular idols nowadays is undeniably BTS’s Jimin, particularly since he released his sophomore album, MUSE.”

Jimin’s song, “WHO,” has garnered a greater audience, particularly in the United States, where the song has maintained a stable presence on the Billboard Hot 100. However, K-netizens and pop fans have accused Jimin of Spotify fraud.

Last month, BTS’s fans, better known as ARMY, were outraged after Spotify deleted over 52 million streams of Jimin’s latest single, “WHO.” However, the controversy has reignited again after On March 1st, the song lost 42 million streams, accumulating almost 100 million streams who were removed.

Ultimately, K-Netizens believe the song is not doing organic numbers and accuse the idol of using streaming farms to stay relevant. On the other hand, ARMY is defending Jimin and asking Spotify for a genuine answer about the controversy. What do you think?
