BLACKPINK’s Lisa had big plans for her first full-length solo album, “Alter Ego,” which was set to dazzle fans tomorrow, February 28, through her agencies LLOUD and RCA Records. But a major bummer hit when two of her tracks, “Rapunzel” and “Lifestyle,” were leaked before she could officially unveil them. Following this minor leak, it was confirmed that some customers already owned physical versions of the record, propelling a full-on unauthorized release of the album.
Someone already showed Lisa's album on rednote . Alright, let's end this discussion here. Lisa's company messed up the album shipping management which caused the songs to leak early. Can her fans stop dragging others into this mess? Enough with the annoying hype already🤮 pic.twitter.com/Ag9kYpItAt

LLOUD then stepped up with an official statement on February 27, stressing their disappointment and commitment to tackling the spoiler leak. According to LLOUD, they’re working closely with RCA Records to hunt down whoever unveiled the project. They view this leak very seriously, especially since Lisa worked so hard on her debut solo album. Lisa herself even reacted to the unfortunate news in a recent interview, showing her disappointment:
#LISA expresses sadness and disappointment over her leaked album, thanking everyone for alerting her, and assures that her team took swift action.

Despite the drama, Lisa and her team remain optimistic. They hope fans will still enjoy “Alter Ego” as intended when it finally drops. Featuring five alter egos—Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni, and Speedi—this album promises to showcase a whole new side of Lisa’s artistry, giving different perspectives and views of the idol’s artistry.
