Sasaeng trouble is back in the spotlight as TWICE face intrusive fan behavior that has crossed all lines. On February 26, JYP Entertainment dropped a serious statement warning an individual who bombarded the group members with obsessive letters and photos. This person seems even to have lurked near TWICE’s homes and workplaces, causing distress and anxiety.

In their statement, the agency cataloged these actions as stalking under current law, emphasizing how this harassment inflicts serious mental issues. In addition, they tightened security around the group and assured fans of constant vigilance. The threat to take legal action at the highest level was also made clear: if the stalking doesn’t end, JYP will respond with no mercy against sasaegns (also known as obsessive fans).
TWICE’s fans worldwide, known as ONCEs, have voiced their concern, praising JYP’s protective stance. While K-pop often celebrates passionate fandom culture, the line between devotion and harassment must be respected. This incident is a reminder that everyone, including idols, deserves safety and privacy.
