BTS fans are in the middle of drama over a rumored solo lightstick for Jungkook. Word spread in early 2025 that an Instagram user, ARMYwithFUN, was selling custom lightsticks featuring individual members’ designs. Many fans bought them without double-checking their authenticity, sparking an online feud between Jungkook’s solo stans and the broader BTS ARMY. The controversy quickly escalated, as both sides started arguing on social media about the legal and ethical implications.
Some ARMYs labeled the merchandise “fake” and expressed it violated the group’s official branding rights. They demanded everyone report the issue to HYBE, claiming the unauthorized use of Jungkook’s logo was “copyright infringement.” Also, they accused solo stans of fueling the hype and ignoring potential legal risks. The tension became palpable online, with BTS fans and Jungkook solo stans having heated discussions on social media.
Some fans went further, calling Jungkook fans “obsessive” for hating on the other members of the group and supporting the Golden Maknae only. Others thought the blame should fall on the account owner who sold these unofficial goodies. Meanwhile, HYBE remains silent on the situation and has not taken any legal action against the person profiting from the unofficial merchandise.
