BTS is one of the most popular boy bands of all time, and a big reputation comes with a great responsibility. Ultimately, there are many rumors about Jungkook and V circulating online, but some of them are pretty malicious and spread by the famous YouTube channel “Taldeok Camp.”
BigHit Music, BTS’ music agency is not playing anymore and it is tired of the absurd rumors about the boys, so they filed a defamation lawsuit against Taldeok Camp over several YouTube videos containing malicious content about the idols. On top of that, the YouTube Channel owner was using images and content featuring BTS members without permission.
On February 14 KST, the 12th Civil Division of the Seoul Western District Court forced YouTube Channel owner, also known as the cyber wrecker “Taldeok Camp” to pay a total of $53.000 for defaming BTS’ V and Jungkook. The court stated on this day, “The defendant must pay Big Hit Music $35,000 V 1 $7,000, and Jungkook $10,000.”
