King Charles III has been the target of tens of accusations from his detractors when it comes to his royal statements and heartfelt speeches to the community. However, actions are heavier than words and he is currently under fire for his latest decision to travel to Scotland.
The Monarch of the United Kingdom has sparked accusations of climate hypocrisy after taking an 11-minute helicopter ride to visit a food bank in Scotland. It was reported the King generated more carbon emissions than the average person does in a week.
The King has been pretty vocal about the concerns of the carbon emissions in the United Kingdom and the world. However, he decided to use his £6 million helicopter to go to Scotland, and then he returned home by helicopter.
Adding to the controversy, flight logs revealed that the chopper had made a 684-mile round trip from an RAF base in London to Scotland and back. This resulted in a total carbon footprint of 4.6 tonnes. However, it remains unclear whether King Charles III was on board for the connecting flights.
